West is my surname, and hencforth "West" is the easiest to pick out on my compass. If it were to start spinning, it would point west. My music is made with thought, time, effort, and love. That's right, love. Oh, and Fruity Loops. Can't forget that.

I'll admit, that was a pretty awesome sound, but (an no offense is intented) come on, do us all a favor, we want real music! Not just one strange sound!! At least list it as a misc. loop next time you have the bright idea of showing the world this sort of experiment.
Or better still, stick to making music.
Thank you.
Author's Response:
T'was only an experiment. Don't worry, music is still in my head.

Ahh yes, dedicated music. It honestly doesn't even matter if this stuff is good, the dedication always loves it. Very nice.
PS: Porn groove wouldn't have occured to me if you hadn't brought it up. I was just thinking it had i nice oriental sound until i read your comments XD
Author's Response:
Haha yeah..i dont know..i was just listening to it a few times and i just caught this sensual smooth vibe all of a sudden. But the oriental part still shows. Personally i like the whole ambient type sound to it, and if noone else likes it then tough cause it wasnt meant for them anyway. =]

The crowd cheering really set the mood well. I liked the change from synth to piano at 1:22, and the change back. Very well done.
Where do you get the sounds like the cheering crowd anyways? I use flashkit, but they have a very limited selection as far as what i'm looking for, and its mostly pretty nasty quality.
Author's Response:
Yeh i like that change too :D!!
I'll send u the crowd sample if u want it, just pm me.
Thanks for the review!

It seems empty. There's not much bass. It needs that full bodied magnitude that only wide waves can give you. And the voice seems off beat, but that was probably intentional. Keep it up, and finish the remix while your at it ^^
Author's Response:
It does lack some instruments...but bass? the whole song is bass....

Seeing as the piano is the only instrument you like on Garage Band (i'm not a stalker, i just looked at the other piano loop) i guess this is O.K. It's a nice melody, but the taping with the key strikes it getting annoying. Much velocity?
Now here's a tip. Get Fruity Loops Studio 8. You can get a demo for free, that's fully functional except there's no save feature, so if you make a song you have to make it in one sitting. I see some amount of potential, and a better program will probably help. Hope i was of service
You get a 7/10 for the effort, and for the fact that i'm probably going to steal the melody now. Get FL, and make something that gets my 10 for being awesome.
Author's Response:
I have FruityLoops... I just have no idea how to use it whatsoever. :P

You nailed down a mechanical feel. It's like robots are taking over the world. You got that mood going vividly in my head. I liked the pneumatic shock type thing at 1:06. The robot voice had a few too many effects, to the point where i have no idea what he was saying, but somehow i doubt it was of massive importance, or else you probably would've done something about it. Great song.
Author's Response:
Thanks, Basically the robot is just saying stuff like, "bring in the drums" or "glitch the clap"
Move the cheer was the main thing.

A tad repetetive. It felt like the exact same thing for the first one and a half minutes, then a new melody repeating for the rest of the song. Aside from that, great work. Loved the beat, and i thought the ending was decent, but perhaps the outro took a bit too long.
Author's Response:
It's supposed to feel repitetive, it's a loop for...uh...well, for whatever you want to use it, as for me it's just fine as a normal song aswell.

That's some straght up uplifting trance right there. Awesome job, I can practically taste the music (if that makes any sense at all). It all fits together wonderfully. I might not have made it 5 minutes long, after a while i started to get a sense of deja vu. Sweet song.

thanks man!

Was this all made on a whim, or did you just improvise one part and build the rest around it? Because i can't see how this could be completely improvised, not without blowing my mind.
Author's Response:
ok, let me explain.....
only one melody in the whole song was not created from improvisation, and thats the melody on piano that u may hear three times in the song, based on that melodys musical scale I started improvising the whole rest of the song.... that was made on a whim as u may say :P
oh, thx for the review by the way :)
